Larch Valley Hiking trail starts from Moraine Lake’s shoreline and is one of the most impressive trails in Banff National Park. A series of switchbacks reveals peekaboo views of Moraine lake as you hike through the subalpine forest. On reaching Larch Valley, you are surrounded by snow capped mountains and outstanding meadows, the perfect spot to enjoy your packed lunch courtesy of your guide. After the hike, there is time at Moraine Lake to soak up the incredible iconic views.

Who is this hike suitable for: This hike requires a good level of fitness, guests should be used to walking uphill and exercise at least 3 times per week. This tour is suitable for active children 12 years of age and up.

What do we need to bring? 1.5 litres of water, Jacket, Rain Gear, Sun Hat and Sunscreen. Appropriate outdoor hiking shoes/boots with good thread is essential. Camera or phone for photographs. If you are an avid photographer, please feel free to bring all your camera gear. Many photography opportunities present throughout the day.

Should I tip my guide? Tips are not included in the tour price. Canadian Rockies Experience guides love their jobs and are grateful for the opportunity to work in this landscape. If you feel that your guide has gone above and beyond for you, and you wish to tip, please do. However, this is never expected.

What is your Cancellation Policy: Your credit card will be charged the full amount when you book. You may cancel your booking at any time up to 72 hours prior to the trip by phone or email (laura@canadianrockiesexperience.com). You will receive a full refund less a $5 non-refundable booking fee per cancelled person.
